Alex Person, MS, CFLE President & Executive Director - Leadership
Alex Person has more than 13 years of experience in the nonprofit sector across the Shreveport-Bossier community. She is deeply committed to strengthening children, youth, and families by connecting them to resources, advocacy, and meaningful support systems.
Throughout her career, Alex has worked closely with abused and vulnerable children, as well as youth and families navigating crisis situations. Her work is grounded in a passion for equity, empowerment, and building stronger community partnerships that create lasting impact. Her previous roles in the Shreveport Bossier community have been the Director of Education and Forensic Interviewer at the Gingerbread House Children’s Advocacy Center also the Development and Community Engagement Director at Volunteers for Youth Justice.
A dedicated civic leader and volunteer, Alex is an active sustainer and past President of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, where she championed initiatives that advance women’s leadership and community change. She also serves on the Bossier City Commission for Women, is a board member of the Red River Revel, and remains actively involved in her church community. In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Alex contributes to higher education as an adjunct instructor at Louisiana Tech University, where she shares her professional experience to help prepare the next generation of leaders.
Alex is most excited about connecting the community , volunteers and Junior Achievement Learning Experiences with the area school systems. Junior Achievement North Louisiana gives students the tangible learning experiences to guide their future. By partnering community organizations with these students creates a bright future for not only the children in our area but also for economic development for our community.
